What a night at the Oakland University basketball facility with 2500 screaming fans. Both teams were shooting well with the Highlanders sinking two point shots and Rochester draining 3 point shots in the first quarter with Adams ahead 16 to 15. Adams got a nice lead with #13 Matt Niemiec having the hot hand with 7 points. Rochester slipped getting only three lay-ups and Adams pulled ahead 29 to 22 by half time. In the third quarter Rochester put in four more lay-ups and ended with a tie, 35 to 35. The Highlanders got a nice lead with # 31 Tyler Newsom making two shots from the field and 6 for 6 from the free throw and finished the night with 20 points. Rochester came back and pulled with in two, but could not finish. Adams came out victorious in front of a roaring crowd with a final score Adams 54 Rochester 52 . | |
