Adams JV holds off Troy Athens with a 48 – 45 victory.

The game got off to a slow start that produced only 11 points between the two teams in the first quarter. The tempo picked up in the second quarter which gave Adams it’s best point production (16) and put some separation between Athens . JD Osborne and John Zekaj took charge on the offensive end to lead Adams .   

The third quarter was played even (14 – 14) as both team traded blows. Andrew Loscko and Rob Reynolds were very active in the second half along with JD and John to lead the way. Athens crept back into the game as the Adams offense became very deliberate and played a little bit of keep away.  The Highlanders bent but didn’t break in the fourth period and held on for the victory as Athens last second three pointer to tie the game clanked off the rim.
