ADAMS SUMMER BASKETBALL

COST: 

In order to cover the cost of the various activities that the Adams basketball program is involved with in the summer, each player must contribute.  The cost is $100 for a potential Varsity player and $50 for a potential JV or Frosh player.  This money is used to pay for league fees, officials, T-shirts, equipment, refreshments, etc.  Please make all checks payable to John Hall, and submit them a few weeks before the end of the school year.  Checks can be given to Coach Hall at Adams High School.

Sign up for your AYBT summer Team--Getting better depends on playing time--Summer AYBT and rec leagues can keep you sharp through the off-season.

In what can only be described as a nail-biter, Stoney Creek came to Adams with good crowds and their A Game.  The lead changed hands with nearly every possession and was tied with under 6 to play in the final quarter.  Adams' ball handling was expert, and they did a good job controlling the ball, keeping Stoney Creek at bay and taking the lead at 5:51. Stoney made another run at 1:21, down by 3, a fade-away 3 point attempt bumped around and went in.  The Stoney Creek fans erupted in a huge cheer--but because it banged into the top of the back board It was Adams' turn to cheer as it was ruled "no good!" Adams was able to control the game from there, and with a couple final free throws from Ryan Kuhl, the game was put safely away with a four point lead and just a few seconds to go.  The team made everyone proud, and now advance to the District Final where they meet Troy on Friday.  Troy advanced against Lake Orion in another up-set win.

Recipe for Friday night:  Take one part exciting basketball district final, add an incomparable Adams Hot Dog, a Gatorade, a popcorn, and a slice of Sir Pizza and you have the perfect Friday night date!  See you there!
