HIGHLANDER BASKETBALL---IT'S EXCITING!

Adams, fresh off their dramatic come from behind win over Avondale, welcomed
the state ranked Clarkston Wolves by raining 3-pointers on the visitors heads,
as the Highlanders vaulted to a first quarter lead of 15-11, and a half-time
lead of 25-19. Unfortunately, the third quarter saw Clarkston outscore Adams
17-2 as the Wolves went on to win 43-40, in a very exciting and emotional
game. Adams had a chance to send the game into overtime, but the final 3-point
attempt failed. Kipke led Adams with 17 points, with five 3-pointers. Wilson
had 8, Tolomei had 7, Bruce had 4, and Crandell and Petrie chipped in 2 a
piece. Adams team defense played strong throughout, with Petrie blocking
several shots. Adams was slapped with two technical fouls in the third
quarter, with the four resultant free throws allowing Clarkston to get back
into the game. On the night, Clarkston was 15 for 15 from the line, with Clark
leading all scores with 20 points. Adams next plays at their own Holiday
Tournament on 12-29-04.
